Previewing Data

You can view data in a table using the Metadata Catalogue. You can also write
SQL query to view relevant data.

To preview data from actual database, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Application Menu > Data Catalog > Mapping Manager.
  2. Under the Workspace Mappings pane, click the required project.

    3. The Metadata Catalogue appears on the right pane.

  3. In Metadata Catalogue, right-click a table.
  4. Hover over Preview Data and use the following options:
    Preview 100 Records
    To preview first 100 records, click Preview 100 Records.
    Preview 1000 Records
    To preview first 1000 records, click Preview 1000 Records.
    Advanced Preview
    To preview the data set after writing a SQL query, click Advanced Preview.

    5. The User Credentials page appears.

  5. Enter your user credentials to connect with database.

    6. The data is previewed.

    Note: If you select Advanced Preview then, you can write a SQL query and click to view the data.
